I wish I could express to everyone first, how much of a "picky" eater I am. I am descendant of a loooong line of excellent cooks/chefs/culinary magicians, so being "picky", and having certain expectations of food, whether I'm making it, or it's being made for me ... I guess, are ingrained. I've been getting really home-sick for the restaurants from Boston and NY... I have yet to find even 1 restaurant that I have been satisfied with - most leave me incredibly disgusted... so you can probably imagine my surprise when not only I, but my infinitely more picky mother, were OVER-JOYED with how incredible this little treasure of deli was!! My mother and I had a last minute meeting with my financial adviser mid-afternoon, on a Tuesday, and we were able to comfortably have our meeting, crunching numbers and drinking ambiance. I washed my hands before the meal and even the sink in the restroom is too cute! Reminded me of the mosaics in Madrid. :) At first, when our plates were brought to us, my mother and I locked eyes in disbelief! Not only does it look edible, but it really looked freaking gorgeous! You could tell by the crunchy crust of the sandwich bread, that it was fresh (like "fresh-baked" fresh!!) - I couldn't wait to stuff my face!!! I could tell by the big smile on my (even more picky) Mom, that she felt the same. I was impressed by the salad, of which mine was Spinach yumminess - perfectly dressed and not drowning as so many places mistakenly do. [Update: 2nd visit's salad had far too much feta, so we couldn't eat it due to the saltiness. :( ] My Financial Adviser loved it so much, he said that he's going to be meeting all of his clients there, when he has to come to PC. FOOD: 98/100 SERVICE: 90/100 AMBIANCE: 92/100 I really have to try to make it for pizza night... Well, it gives me another excuse to go in!! [Update: PIZZA is fan-friggen-tastic, don't hesitate. NOTE: Crust is like a cracker, NOT like the chewy/doughy style you might be expecting... however, still rocks]. Thanks for some seriously good eats and FIIIIIINALLY providing me with a restaurant that makes my FINICKY mother HAPPY!!! PS. Thanks again for being fabulous!

Got the three salad combo so I could try a bunch of things and it was all delicious!! The hummus was super tasty, the pesto pasta salad just right and the tabbouleh fresh and tasty. I was so full I didn't have room to try the tasty looking deserts :( Only complaint is that they close rather early (7pm I think) so we were a little rushed toward the end of our meal there - not worth lowering my rating though!

Ok, here's a refreshing blast from the past. This is so unlike the typical disappointing, disgusting wanna-be restaurants of the area. I love the Italian nature of the place and super friendly staff. They're attentive and your instant pals. The food is wonderful! In every bite, I taste its heritage along with the freshness and culinary talent. I had two salads and they were the bomb!!! Curry chicken salad with mango?! Amazing! Got 3 pounds to go! This makes downtown square of Panama City complete!!

Had a nice sandwich during lunch time called Gilberts Special. Tasted amazing. Workers were friendly and the service was excellent.

We go here every time we're in the historical PC area. Salads and sandwiches are amazing and the baklava is to die for. I only wish there was more seating. Twice we have had to go elsewhere because there was no place to sit.

I'd say it's between a 4 and 5. My friend and I love to go here for lunch in the middle of the week. Their half sandwhich choice and soup especially their tomato basil is delicious. I've had multiple sanches there and they have all been great. My friend likes to get half of a sanchwhich and the Greek Salad. She says she mainly goes there for the Greek Salad if that says anything. There are just 3 tables outside the restaurant but we take advantage of sitting outside during the fall in Florida. If you state you are military the owner will give you a small discount. I would recommend going. FYI they are closed on Sundays, I learned that the hard way.

This is my favorite soup/salad/sandwich place in Panama City. On Mon, Wed, & Fri they make shrimp ceviche. It has avocados and it is delicious! They make fresh soups & salads that are great. On Fridays they also make pizza. Once I got the pizza that has the spinach salad on top & it was wonderful. But since I am doing a low carb type diet the pizza is now only an occasional treat.

Great hot sandwhiches and fresh salads. I had a San Fransico 49'ers and it was excellent. Food came out quickly and the place is very clean. Bathroom is amazing and also clean.

Very busy at lunch time, it seemed like a good idea to get mine to go. Lots and lots of interesting choices, but I thought that a chicken salad sandwich would be a good and healthy choice. When I got it back to the office, the nice crunchy Italian roll was perfect with the soft chicken and the crispy veggies on top. A pretty good portion, too! And while I usually skip the pickles from most places because they're too mushy, this one was crisp! Good lunch today. I'll be back to Trigo!

Been at the Marina Convention Center all week. Ate here twice so far. Its not only walking distance but they have awesome food! I got the Crab Sandwich both times. No regrets. Its that good. One day i got the Crab Bisque and the other day i got the Chili as part of the lunch special. Both were good but the Bisque takes the cake. I also tried my wife's Tuna Pasta Salad! Holy cow! Im convinced everything is good! Place also has free WIFI! Very clean place and friendly staff!

Deliciousness served here! You have to stop here. Under 10 dollars per person, a wine bar and great dessert! The service was super friendly and professional. Great atmosphere. Not overly noisy and there's plenty of seating. Worth every single cent!

This is place is as good as it gets. You will actually find yourself craving the pizza! I've been here probably a 100 times and have never had anything disappointing; sandwiches, salads, soups, pizzas, or desserts--it's all amazing and very well priced. It is a small establishment, so it can get crowded. Don't worry; they will find a comfortable spot for you to sit. This staff definitely goes above and beyond for their customers!

Excellent service. If you show up a little early in the am, they will gladly serve coffee until food can be prepared. Excellent quiche! Dogs allowed outside.

Well appointed restaurant in downtown Panama City. Love the ambiance, and I've never had a bad meal here. The sandwiches specials change regularly, and all have been yummy. Highly recommend for lunch! I am thrilled they've created a seating area outside on Harrison Avenue in addition to the sidewalk table they used to have. Can't wait for a pretty day to sit outside and enjoy the space.

FOOD - 96/100 pts SERVICE - 88 AMBIANCE - 93 FOOD: Great selection of sandwiches (both cold and hot) and fresh pasta salads. Pizza and other goodies too. We had the Tuna salad and hot roast beef sandwiches which were both very good. The pesto past salad was incredible. SERVICE: It's standard deli service where you order in line and the food is delivered to your table. I unfortunately came to Trigo during a time when they were overwhelmed by a local convention happening across the street. Service was adequate, but the sheer numbers of conventioneers was too much for these guys causing big delays. AMBIANCE : Quaint, clean, fresh, with both inside and outside seating. Located in an older part of Panama City that most tourists will never see. You'll love it.

This place is worth every penny. The man who owns it is the nicest guy you could ever hope to meet. Chicken Mango Curry is what I get almost every time, unless I make it in for the ceviche! SO GOOD! Definitely a spot worth checking out!

Five stars for the coffee alone. We didn't order any sandwiches, but their coffee was strong, dark, and fair trade/organic!

This is a great little cafe serving great crossaints, espresso drinks, sandwiches. and some healthy foods like hummus and fruit salad. They label the place "San Francisco" style, I think because they serve many healthy things and the owner/operator really is from San Francisco. The staff and owner are quite friendly. Panama City has way too many places serving greasy, fried stuff; this place is a wonderful alternative. The environment inside is quite nice and clean with nice interior design. I really did feel like , both based on the food and the environment, I was in San Francisco and not the Florida Panhandle. Prices are reasonable, this is a very casual place where one orders and pays at the counter. They opened quite recently, check it out so we in the Panama City area can maintain this great alternative to the typically unhealthy local cuisine. The coffee drinks are well made, this is a cool place to hang out in Panama City's small walkable historic downtown area. I was told by the staff that this spot was previously occupied by a different restaurant with the same name that closed. The new owner decided to keep the name, but serves completely different food than the old place. They just started having pizza in the evenings, and have many different pizzas to choose from!!

Great sandwiches, delicious soups, and the BEST cookies I've ever had. The interior is fresh and refined, especially by PC standards. Friendly and helpful owner and staff. Love coming here. Good pizzas after 4 pm, too. Only complaint: the bread was a little tough last time I went. Hopefully more people discover this gem so the stock rotates a little faster!
